Last year we released our Caffè Corretto liqueur in collaboration with Elixir Craft Spirits. We've enjoyed developing some tasty cocktails using this intense coffee liqueur. These cocktails have been such a hit with our customers, we thought we would share them with you to try at your next get-together.
Espresso Martini
Our own twist on the classic espresso martini, a cold pre- or post-dinner cocktail.
Ingredients:
2 ounces Espresso (double shot)
1 ounce Vodka
1 ounce Caffè Corretto Coffee Liqueur
Coffee beans for garnish
Serving Glass: Chilled Stemless Martini
Preparation:
Combine all ingredients in metal mixing tumbler
Add ice 2/3 full
Shake vigorously for 15 seconds
Hawthorne and mesh strain into a child stemless martini glass
Garnish with 3 coffee beans
Negroni Elixir
A Negroni riff featuring liqueurs crafted by our friends at Elixir Craft Spirits, this cocktail made its debut for Negroni Week.
Ingredients:
1 ounce Grappa
1 ounce Elixir Calisaya Liqueur
1 ounce Caffè Umbria Caffè Coretto Coffee Liqueur
Lemon Zest
Serving glass: Rocks
Preparation:
Combine grappa, Calisaya, and coffee liqueur into cocktail mixing glass
Add ice 2/3 full
Stir without aerating for 15 seconds
Hawthorne strain & serve with lemon zest
Little Dragon
This enchanting and aromatic herbal cocktail has a light crunch on the first sip.
Ingredients:
1 1⁄2 ounces Caffè Umbria Caffè Corretto liqueur
1 ounce Green Chartreuse
1⁄4 cup heavy cream, lightly whipped
Tarragon sugar garnish
Tarragon Sugar
20 tarragon leaves
1 Tbsp coarse cane sugar
- Set tarragon leaves between 2 pieces of paper towel then microwave for 1-2 min or until crumbly
- Crush leaves in sugar with mortar and pestle (or with your fingers) not too fine, until it looks pretty to you
Serving glass: Coupe glass
Preparation:
Lightly whisk cream until it just starts to thicken, set aside
Stir liqueurs in a mixing glass with ice
Strain into glass and carefully cap with cream
Sprinkle garnish on ⅓ of top
O Capeta do Cafe
Our Caffè Corretto coffee liqueur and Cachaca provide warmth and the flavors of fruit and cinnamon in this energizing and uplifting cocktail.
Ingredients:
2 ounces Cachaca Branca
1 ounce Sweetened condensed milk
1 ounce Caffè Umbria Caffè Corretto liqueur
Ice
Cinnamon
Serveware: Rocks glass
Preparation:
Combine first 3 ingredients in cocktail shaker.
Add ice to ⅔ full. Shake well and double strain into glass.
Sprinkle with cinnamon to serve.
