Negroni Week 2018 is June 4 - June 10, 2018.
Given our Italian roots, we love Campari at Caffè Umbria in all its beautiful, tasty iterations, so we were very excited when given the opportunity to create a coffee blend for Negroni Week! It was a bit of a challenge to create a coffee that captures the essence and taste of this iconic and familiar cocktail – bitter, sweet, herbaceous and citrusy. We chose the Mexico for the bitter-sweet taste and the Kenya for its citrusy aroma. We roasted the coffee medium-light to bring out the full potential of those flavors, resulting in a blend that any Negroni lover would appreciate.
This special-edition coffee, the Negroni Week Blend, will be available in the cafés and online starting June 4th and through the month of June. See our ad in the May/June issues of Imbibe Magazine.
Caffè Umbria's Negroni Week Blend embodies the flavors of the classic Negroni cocktail - bitter, sweet, herbaceous and citrusy. Made primarily with Mexican and Kenyan coffees, this blend is roasted medium light. $1 from the sale of each bag will benefit No Kid Hungry.
Our cafés will feature the Negroni Week Blend as cold brew and a variety of other brew methods. If you're in Portland, you won't want to miss the Cold Brew Negroni made in the Yama tower, and two special Negroni riffs.
